Touring - specific compression bag advice
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I tried searching the older posts and found little spec. info on choosing a waterproof compression bag that will fit a tent without poles (big agnes seedhouse sl2 8x15 uncompressed) and a sleep bag (big agnes yampa 8x15 uncompressed) to lash on top of rear rack. I have no front rack and small rear panniers. If anyone can help me choose a specific brand and especially size that would be great!

I like my OR compression sacks. They make a big range of them in different weights and waterproofness most use the same material as your BA tent fly (70 dernier rip stop nylon). My 1 degree down bag fits nicely in a 10.6 litre dry sack with a little room to spare. The tent would probably fit in a 10L bag as well as long as its rolled nicely (the footprint might not fit though). I don't think you'll need a dry sack for the tent though. Whats wrong with the one that came with it? You could always trim it down a bit if you want to compress it more and save some money.
The bags on this page are nice:

I agree, OR has made great waterproof / compression sacks for at least 10 years, and sells them at fair price in several sizes.
However, I don't understand why the OP would want one for a tent. Tents are usually wet when its time to pack them up and thus need ventilation to dry. Top of the rack in a mesh sack sounds better to me.
The BA yampa sl. bag is pretty small, I'd get one of the smaller OR bags.
AFAIK, no mfg markets compression sacks for TENTS, thus your fdifficulty finding one...
