27 miles, half of that with Gary. FYI Gary, I decided that my arms are too long for the Preying Flandis method of aerobars. I moved them into their flat position, have tha pads as low as they'll go (paracticaly touching the basebar) and I moved the pads out a little bit to give myself a sturdier base on the bars. With the narrow bars and pads I wasn't getting anything resembling control. Not that I'm steering in the extensions anyways.
It feels a little better.
what kinda tri bike? i mean tt lol

Giant Trinity, just the basic aluminium frame, but with some special-er parts. I got a Zipp 900 disc for the rear and am using my 404 in the front. I hope I'll wil my first TT. The thing is scary fast. Right after Gary and I went seperate ways, my road was very smooth and in a 35 mph zone and I was caught the car in front of me.

Hey!that,s a new towel bar on the tall dryer.
5/28 tried to sneek one in between rain stroms, 21.5 miles dry, 0.5 miles in driving rain storm (needed a shower anyway) nice try though!
BTW 5 blocks from my house a small, either straight line wind event or small twister took out a whole bunch of trees and a couple houses got tore up pretty bad.

40 miles on the TT bike.
Caught in a super-hard rain for the last 25 miles.
Did not stop; only flipped my cap's brim down.
Couldn't see 15 ft in front of my face.
Most danger I've ever been in.
TT bike is now UCI compliant.

only 72 miles today, set out to do 100 but it was really windy and my legs didn't feel all that great, still a nice day of biking though
hmmmm I don't believe putting "only" in front of 72 when referring to biking is appropriate. lol i'm feeling withdrawal from not riding, I've been in tulsa all week w/o my bike. Good thing is, I'm going to the tulsa tough crit races tonight. Floyd Landis and a few of his teammates are gonna be there, i'm excited, first time for me ever going to a bike race.

Last year I would agree with you, 70 miles is a long way, but I'm training for a cross country bike ride this July so anything under 100 miles is short ride this year.
5/29 44 miles, me and the wife at a nice brisk 18.9mph ave. made it home just ahead of a big thunderstorm!!!!

Tuesday: 17.5 miles to test a bit of saddle position fiddling - 2 cm up and ~1 cm forward (on the rails, though obviously some of that was offset by raising the post). It felt great, so I kept it.
Thursday: 62.5 miles, including some hills I hadn't been on before. (Translation: ouch.)
Friday: 39 miles.
5/30 83 miles today, very nice weather not too windy and just a touch cool. Only issue was ran into lots of fresh tar and chip sealing on some country roads, oh well it's that time of year already!
BTW I need 129 miles tommorrow to get 4000 miles for the year so far!
Daughter gradutes from High School tonite! Were has the time gone, I can't be this old, LOL

5/31 - 34.8 miles
Dropoff at Oswego Plaza in Oswego, IL. From there, went by the new Village Hall, then down Mill Rd. past Orchard Rd. and past the rough RR tracks, then NE to the Wal-Mart on Orchard and Rt. 30, then east into Montgomery before stopping for lunch along Douglas Rd. just south of Rt. 30. Afterwards, I rode the trails to get back into downtown Oswego for a milkshake. Then rode home using Plainfield Rd., Schlapp (road getting repaved...some oil on road but not enough to mess anything up), Caton Farm, County Line, Theodore to Rt. 59, then zigzag to Bronk and Black Rd. before heading across I-55 to reach my neighborhood. Real nice out today. Gonna storm next couple days here. Will end month with 450 miles. If I didn't have much of a off week last week, I could of came real close to 500.
^^^^ i was surprised to see the oil down on Schlapp when i was out this morning. that road was already smooth as butter and their are plenty of other roads in the same area that could use some new blacktop. heck they just redid Schlapp and the other major ones out that way two years ago. odd to me? later.

05/31, 4 miles, averaged 8 mph, I think I coasted half of it!
1st ride since my knee blew out three weeks ago, just finished icing it down.
Dr. says I have Chondromalacia, had me on Prednisone for 9 days, now on Naproxen.
I've done probably a million quad sets the past couple of weeks.
I'll be easing back in with a couple of short / easy rides a week for the next month or so.

Rode the 2 miles downtown. Happened across the group that does critical mass. Down in the park, they had the drum circle going on (there are still some hippies in Huntsville).

wow. a week off the bike, and an increase in alcohol and fatty food consumption these past few days made my ride an italian tune up. It was tough at first, but I was feeling great by the end.
57 miles. Speaking of italian tune up, a gallardo passed me on truxell; the resonation off the trees gave me a woody

Did the 40 mile Alpine Valley route out of Backyard Bikes in Lagrange. Great ride with a couple of nasty hills. the weather couldn't have cooperated any better than it did.

Ahem,
Was thinking on why the Kendall Co. folks need to mess w/ parts of Schlapp Rd. It didn't need a new coat. The northern mile or so of the road needs it more than the rest. Most of the money should have gone to making Arbeiter, Van ****, Walker and the west end of Jones Rd. paved or at least oiled down. Arbeiter from 52 goes into far west end of Joliet. Maybe Joliet could chip in to get that road paved or oiled down the whole way.

I did a short , but interesting ride this weekend riding 30 miles from Chicago Botanic Garden to Navy Pier in Chicago using Green Bay Trail and Lake Shore Path. Very entertaining... Did not realize that Green Bay trail is not paved 100% and hit some dirt. Good thing I have a cyclocross bike and it gave me another reason to clean the bike afterward.....

2 miles to the library to return some videos (my first "utility" trip), followed by 18.5 miles. FYI, four DVDs in a plastic bag will just barely stay in place when tucked between the shifter/brake cables and the head tube...

two 15 mile rides yesterday on the TT bike, then a 40 miler today on the race bike. They feel completely different, I only just now noticed because it was my first ride back on the TCR insce I got the TT bike a week ago.

101 miles today, probably the first day this year that I didn't have to deal with any heavy winds! It was so nice to have the winds max out at 8mph. The sun was quite warm today too.

Made it a whole 9.25 miles on Sunday. Had to have a friend drive me home. Gout sucks. Popping pills, eating cherries, and hoping I can walk again soon.
On the plus side, I was riding a new bike that I hadn't ridden before. 2006 DBR Podium3 frame/fork that I got on closeout from Raleigh. It's a nice, smooth ride.

40.8 miles. 25+ on the way in to work and another 15+ on the way home. I have to say that bringing enough stuff to accommodate a 35 degree temperature swing from morning to evening is a bit of a pain.

I rode two times yesterday. 40 miles in the morning, 50 at the Spin ride.
I rode this morning for 40 miles on the TT bike. I ended up moving the extensions out even further to 90mm to find a good position, I feel good now.
I got bored a few hours after getting home after finding out my plans were cancelled, so I went out again for 45 miles on the TCR.
So yeah, 175 miles in two days. All of which were at about 70-75% of max at Level 3.
6/4 45 miles, the Akron Bike Club thursday night fast ride. Great ride, we did some of the big ones in the valley. Group of 7 of us OTF that tried real hard to hurt each other, I think we succeeded too! 20.5mph ave in all those hills no less.

61 miles this morning. Met up with two buddies then we rode out and met up with the Lake Erie Wheelers ultra distance ride. After about 1 hour of riding with the LEW's our gang broke off then did a 50 minute interval then noodled back home.
