Any suggestions on the hub to get for my new Holland? Must be silver, light, QUIET (White Industries are beautiful, but too noisy for my taste)...Phils are too heavy....
Beauful ride out there today!!

I agree. Just bought a bike equipped with DA silver hubs and they are extremely quiet. So quiet, that it actually took time for me to get used to them. I'm the kind that likes a noisy rear hub when not pedaling.

Even the Ultegras are rather stealthy.

Hi,
Welcome. :)
If you are equipping the bike with Campagnolo, I have some 2006 Record hubs with 28 holes. Was going to build them up as training wheels but decided to go with cheaper, pre-built, Campagnolo Sciroccos.

+1 I have them on my commuter bike and they're pretty quiet (quiter than the hubs on my Xero XR1 wheels anyways).

Phil it and forget it. They are gorgeous and don't worry about how much they weigh. They are hubs the arc of rotation is tiny. Worry more about the rims you choose if you really want to worry about weight. The rim weight is more important than hub weight when determining which wheels you are going to choose if you are looking for complete wheels (or even if building your own).

Thanks for your response and I am interested in your coaching services. I am in Laguna Niguel, do you come to me if what I want is someone to ride/coach or would I need to come to you? Would like someone to ride with me...

Yes, you are obviously from the Serotta forum? To whom do I have the pleasure of speaking with?
arent king hubs quite loud?
if you want quiet smooth and very pretty, go with DA-7801 hubs or the wheelset.
