GT HT frames are heavy and tough. And for 11 bucks how can you go wrong? Be sure and give us some pics when you go to work on her!

heavy yes, tough definitely, but steel is real, and the bike will actually cost 50 because of shipping, but I've wanted a decent rig to bang around on, I'll hopefully have pics quickly. I need to get a new digicam. my son found my last one.(he's 8 mos.)

amen bruddah, but I already have 3 SS bikes one in each size 20-24-26 so I'll probably build it, ride it a little and then give it to someone who deserves it. There's a guy that i ride with, he's about 270 and has been wanting to lose weight, but all he has is his walmart special(hence the one piece crank questions) so I'll probably just give it to him free of charge, just to keep him on his quest for his own health, and so he has a decent bike to ride.

jcivic00, fairplay to you in helping out a friend. I only wish one of my friends would be generous enough to buy me the Cannondale Scapel 3000 that I've been dreaming of.

I hope your friend appreciates it, Portent.

somehow I think you might be waiting a while. I think everyone should have the opportunity to own a decent or even nice bike. I've been rebuilding bikes for a long time now. Most I give away, some I keep, all of them I ride. It's feels good when you see the look on someone's face when they realize theat they're geting something that's worthwhile. On top of that I also give free lessons on maintenance and repair technique. Nobody should have to pay for something like that. It's just good karma IMO. Besides sometimes you get lucky and happen upon a really great deal. That's how I got my CF Giant. I got really lucky at an estate sale. only cost me 250. I gave it to a guy that rides to and from work all the time. I see him on a bike every day. He still has it too. Comes to a repair class every now and again.

AAAAARRGGGGGHHHHH!!!! I just got an email from the guy who was selling the bike. Turns out his neighbor ran over it last night in a drunken stupor. Only question I have is why was the bike in the front yard??

My guess is that you'll see it appear again on eBay in about 2 weeks! Probably didn't want to sell it so cheap!

Neighbor ran it over, got to remember that one, ha, ha!

For $11.00 heck yeah! Call his bluff!

If he's lying, he's not gonna go purposely run it over.

If he gets all wierd on ya, threaten to turn him in, and do so. ebay gets quite upset when one party doesn't abide to the rules!
