So what are the best rides in and around NYC? Please send links to maps, routes or (if I'm lucky) GPS data that I can upload to my Garmin.
If I can't find a group to ride with, it'd at least be fun and informative to see how my times compare with those of others.

My favorite local ride is over the GWB, up the Palisades & 9W to Piermont/Nyack. But I don't get to do that very often.
The full loop around Manhattan is a fun ride. And there are a ton of routes in Brooklyn. Get a NYC Bike Path map for ideas.
The 5BBC does alot of casual rides all over the place. The NYCC has everything from faster group rides to casual C rides.
As far as times go, post your best Central Park or Prospect Park loop time in the Road Cycling or Road Racing forum & watch the madness ensue... :D
Manhattan loops are fun! I posted the route I usually take in one of these threads; if I remember which I'll bump and link it.
