Folding Bikes - How does this older Dahon stack up?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
How do these older Dahons ride? Appalling, or with some judicious upgrading of components, OK? Flexy?
And how do they fold?

I don't know that I am qualified to answer, but I commuted to work this week on it (2 miles each way) and even though there are clunky noises, I really like it. For my short commute, it works very well for me.
BTW, I thoroughly enjoyed your website about you NZ trip. Very inspiring.
