Hi there, I want to build a wheel for my front, that takes a 10mm axle. What are my options for doing this?
I want to do disc brakes on the front with a suspension fork, but want a 10mm axle so that I can do a Pitlock M10, 10mm bolts for the front?

Any suggestions?

Do a search or ask over in the commuter forum. If I recall, I've seen a few threads about pitlocks over there in the past few months.

Alternatively, email or call Peter White at Peter White Cycles. He's one of the main dealers of pitlocks in North American and he could answer all your questions.

I don't, but my friend does. Sounds like a very good investment for a commuter/parking in areas of high theft. The only annoyance would be that you'd have to carry the key with you all the time and flat fixes take slightly longer (like 5seconds longer).

Sounds like good ideal.

If even for the satisfaction of not having the wheel stolen or seat stolen

it is like $100 for a set, and the seat may be less than that, but well worth the peace of mind i think

than the value of the part stolen

though some wheels can come close to that even on a cheap commuter to replace,

or a more expensive bike, and parts are easily that , and more

you see, for the sets, they can protect your fork as well, and the seat is a given as well as a hub...say if the thief was determined enough they could quickly clip out your spokes with a bolt cutter if your hub was worth a lot, then take out the hub

this adds more peace of mind that way
