Hey guys, you might remember me from earlier this year, and wanting to get into track racing and I kind of disappeared. Well, I joined a race team, and I'm doing Junior road races now. But starting in June I'll be going out to Major Taylor on Friday nights for the races with the team, so... How competitive is the Junior class there? I'm going to be a major threat on any type of bike and any type of track, but I just want to know what to expect. I'm 16, 17 in June and I'm fast.
I don't know what frame I'll be racing on then, since I'll probably be using a team bike, but I'll be riding on my own wheelset/tires since the team bikes have clinchers.
I came in thrid in my first race with no strategy, a loaner rear wheel and a severe leg cramp, and I'm here to win.

Nope, never heard of you. But welcome to the track forum anyway and good luck with the race team.
You should prolly also lay off the Tartrazine - that stuff can cause muscle cramps which'll kill yr sprint for the line if yr not careful ;)

Thanks, but what made you start about tartrazine? It's kind of hard to avoid, right, or it it just in candies?
