Introductions - Hey I'm new here.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi, I don't normally get on forums of any kind unless it's required for school, but I've been reading threads on here for quite sometime now whenever I run a google for anything bike related and thought I'd join and see what more experience cyclists can teach me that I can't learn from my job or "Bicycling" magazine. I'm only 20 but I've been riding for years and found a new love for it about a year ago. I've been doing some offroad, single track stuff lately, but sometimes nothing beats road cycling. I guess it began last year when I actually began appreciating the beauty of vintage roadbikes for their craftsmanship. I have a Trek from the early 1980s that I ride daily, and a Bianchi that needs to get a tune before I break it out. Nice meeting you all, anyone know of any good rides in the NOVA area?

Hello CercaMemorial, you might wander over to the regional forums (I think the Northeast) and shout out to the locals. If I remember correctly, there are all sorts of great rides in NOVA.

We are always happy to welcome new members to the Classic & Vintage forum--I am a fellow lover of steel bikes (got 12 of them!), so come and visit us, and bring photos.

Welcome to BF!

Thanks everyone. I'm looking forward to hearing about anything new and awesome from bike building to nutrition. Plan on posting a few pictures of my rigs when I get a shot that'll do those babies some justice.
