Training & Nutrition - I just ruin it by stuffing myself

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Man I suspect I may have an eating disorder. I love to eat. Today I did 6x400M run intervals. Then I went to AYCE sushi night and ate:
1 tempura roll
1 dragon roll
1 spicy tuna roll
21 pieces sushi
2 orders sashimi (12 pieces of fish total)

That is insane. I am usually stuffed after 2 orders of sashimi like that. Sushi is always more filling than it looks like.
I was so full I could not walk straight. Hey you live in Sherman Oaks? I used to go to Light and Healthy sushi bar on Ventura Blvd. It was AYCE also. Something like $16.95 for lunch. AYCE for one hour.

Yea, still there. But... since the east end of Ventura blvd is sushi central, I don't do the AYCE. Quality over quantity. :p

Wait, Kuan, where did you go for AYCE sushi? Was it possibly the place on the corner of Nicollet and Grant called, I think, Ichiban? I've been wanting to check that place out...
Nope it was Benihana here on Louisiana/394. It's $26.95 AYCE on Monday nights from 5-7p.
I'm recovered this morning. :)

I stay the hell out of AYCE places, just for this reason.....

Ichiban isn't bad - I think the price is fairly comparable (29.99 or something like that) but it's every day. And they've got the cute little boats that go around and deliver your sushi. You just need to sit as close to the "loading dock" as possible.
Now that our 13 yo daughter is into sushi that's one of the few places we can afford to go.
But we still go to Origami (the downtown one) for special occasions. I did make the mistake of going there once in the evening after doing a century that morning...Ichiban would have been the place to go when I was that famished. Would have saved me about $250.
i avoid all you can eat food like the plague. i always end up stuffing myself like a bulimic person.
think of it this way though, at least you'll have plenty of calories to repair any tissue damage from the intervals. and some extra to burn next time you train.

Protein loading....
That's my view...at least it's fish, not red meat. You've just got a good filling of fish oils that are great for you.
