Since Contador was one of the Astana riders implicated by Operation Puerto and also pulled from the 2006 Tour, isn't he in the same boat as Basso?

Remember, it might not be just Contador in that boat. The "Puerto Nine" banned from the TdF last year included four riders who later all ended up on Discovery: Basso, Contador, Allan Davis & Sergio Paulinho <http://www.velonews.com/images/news/12125.18368.f.jpg>. I believe charges against Davis and Contador were "shelved due to lack of evidence" at the time (not sure about Paulinho, but I assume the same for him too).
