I come from several car enthusiast forums and probably the best thing there is the regional forum. We had subforums for every state, and over seas region and it was a great way to put together meets and group drives, in our case, exchange information abut local shops and riding routes/trails, organize group rides, communicate local events, and just talk about the local issues.

anyone else think this could be good for the bike forums?

We have such a thing: It's in the same grouping as the Introductions. I would have mentioned it if you had made a post in the Introductions forum :D .

lol,,, what is funny is where certain states are placed within these sections...

Missouri is with Colorado? And Iowa is with the Great Lake states? :p ;)

More to the point--Texas doesn't have a separate regional forum? Or Colorado? Those would make sense...

Texas has had its own regional forum since 5/11/07, it's just not listed below the Regional Forums header on the main page.

Which I've reminded those who have the power to fix about a couple of times. Hopefully it'll get handled soon.

Hummmph. I go away for just a few days, and Texas gets that highly sought after regional forum! I stand corrected, thanks Jon and monogodo :D .
