It is really annoying to know there is an answer but not finding
it. I ran into such, probably 700c, with brake bosses meant for touring bikes, many of which have over size wheels, last summer on now innominata website. Pricey at $4-500 as I recall. Just stumbled on it and had it booked, probably on another machine though..... Nope not there either, probably deleted. Well sorry, but fork with bosses is getting close. Steve

Plenty of carbon fibre MTB suspension forks... but that's not what you're after. You're looking for a CF rigid fork right? I remember seeing a few in the past but not many recently. MRC used to make a carbon-reinforced titanium fork. That was a nice fork. Sun Obsys used to make a short-travel (55mm) carbon suspension fork too. These are older forks designed for non-suspension geometry and 1" headsets.

Ahhh... I forgot about the Pace forks. Anyone know if they still offer a version with V-brake/canti mounts? Beautiful fork.

well thanks for all the help so far, yea i'm trying really hard to make a all out city mtb, something that keeps up with road bikes (i know it's kinda impossible but hey don't mind me trying). I really wanna check out mrc fork, but i can't get their site to work. Anyhow if you guys can think of anything more, just keep posting (thanks a lot)

I know the fork is no longer in production. I think McMahon Racing went out of business too. You'll have to find the forks on the used market. Another option for high-end rigid forks is titanium (yes I know the MRC was also ti). You have a lot more choices there. Check out IRD for one.

They make v-brake adaptors:

looks like a bodge though.

From what I have heard, the adaptors work just fine. Pace would be my vote for a carbon MTB road fork, but they are not cheap.
For a lot less $$$ you could get a steel road fork for MTB wheels. Not all steel is heavy. The Kona project-1 is quite good, but you could get a local custom builder to rustle up a set of Reynolds 531 forks. See henryjames.com for your local builder.

No need to go to a builder for steel forks. Kelly makes a fork out of True Temper OXIII. Anyway MRC is out of buisness I am not sure about IRD making a carbon MTB fork.
