Wasn't IB supposed to undergo a hearing today? Does anyone know of anything?.....did he show up, and if so, did he submit samples for a DNA test? Gotta admit that even though I have my suspicions about him, there are always at least two sides to a story, and I feel a little bit bad for him....he may have been pressured in ways that no one is aware of.

If it goes anything like Scarponi they wont be taking DNA it is just a hearing. Scarponi did agree to submit a DNA sample at his hearing though.

It would be foolish for Basso to not submit one...the UCI has his DNA anyway from a recent out of competition blood test and they said if he doesn't submit they will use that...but they prefer if he submits.

He showed. Then after 2 hours, they rescheduled the hearing:

CONI later questioned Giro df'Italia winner Ivan Basso for nearly two hours before rescheduling his hearing for an unspecified date, his lawyer Massimo Martelli said.

"The hearing has been put back to a yet-to-be-fixed date," Martelli said, adding that his client was "calm."

"He replied to the questions," Martelli said,

As long as you had it with some fava beans and a nice chianti, I guess this is okay?

This is far more true than you'll ever know (unless you've had the misfortune to be entangled in the court system). There are so many ways to BS judges and jury, and there are so many maneuvers that lawyers on both sides can use to prevent the truth and the human story from getting out....

And let's not forget the clients that either encourage it, or go along with it (the BS that is).

Oh, yes...I speak from experience. The hoops you have to jump through just to set a date are comical. Not to mention costly.
