Introductions - Newbie

Hello everyone. I live in Connecticut and have been riding as an adult for the last 12 years. My first bike as an adult was a Specialized RockHopper. Loved that bike. Next I got a Bianchi Volpe. I rode that to work as a commuter and then rode it from Hartford to Philly. Later that year my wife and I rode from Phoenix to L.A. Hell of a lot of fun. Then I got a Trek "Y" bike. That got stolen and with the insurance money I got a
specialized StumpJumper. Eventually my Bianchi got stolen as well so I got a Fuji Cross bike. I've put about 2500 miles on that and I'm next getting a Roubaix Comp. My first ride will be to Hammonaset State beach. I can't sleep thinking about it. Aside from biking I also do community theater, stand-up comedy, and am a member of a local Improv Comedy Group. My wife and I are expecting our first child in August. I look forward to meeting all of you.

Well I meant "newbie" to the site. As for my Micheal Jackson impersonation I have been ordered by the state of California to cease and desist all M. J. related parody and am not allowed to discuss it any further.

Welcome..if you see posts pertaining to the cross-bikes you've owned,chime-in.I see questions on cross's to be used as commuters quite a bit as well.Booby-trap the next bike,would ya?!

I loved commuting to work with my cross bike 'cause it was very stout and the steel frame is sweet. Unfortunatly it has no braze ons for racks or fenders. As for booby-trapping the next bike I was thinking of some sort of electric shock device.

LMBO!!! If you do that, just remember to deactivate it before you go to unlock your bike... :-) Or you'll have quite a shocking experience!

Welcome to the forum!

Where in CT do you live? I was born and raised there. Eventually, I tired of the nasty winters and this thing called snow. I do miss the seasonal changes quite a bit.

I'm in the Hartford area. This year we did'nt have much of a winter. Snowed twice and we had a stretch of 6 weeks that were cold. But the South West looks more and more attractive every year.
