Hello,

I'm looking for some Info on FELT bikes. I do a search and get mostly felt(as in feeling) type answers.

Anyhow, it seems that they havn't been around very long and there are no reviews that I can find.

So if you have one let me know what model, how long you had it and if you like it or not.

I'm looking for a nice road bike for my wife, she currently rides a QR Tri-bike with Ultegra components. If I get her a real road bike, it will have at least 105's or better. Looking to spend about $1000 or so.

Thanks,

I had done some small amount of research on Felt bikes. I found people tended to like them and believed they gave good bang for the buck. Also, the creator (James Felt) was apparently building bikes for some time but putting other company's names on them.

i recently bought a felt bike and like it alot

i rode 6 or 7 brands and liked the felt the best..even compared to bikes costing a lot more

the sales guy at my LBS recommended an intermediately priced felt bike (it has some 105 components) over other brands they sold that cost much more....

i ended up spending half of what i expected to spend

they have gotten a lot more business from me :)

I also have done some research.
I ended up NOT getting the Felt, but only because I found a slightly better deal.

Everyone that has one, seems to like it a lot. They are huge into Tri-bikes. (Triathlon, that is...)
Also, I called them, because I am a "rider of substance" and I was worried about my weight being an issue.
They took a couple days to get back to me. I figured it was bad customer relations. When they did call me back, I found out that the delay was because they assigned someone to research the issue to make SURE that there was no problem. They even discussed the issue with a Mavic rep, to verify that I could ride the Ksyrium Elites that come on the F35.

A little piece of me is sorry I didn't get the Felt.

My first post, I bought a Felt about a month ago just a cheap f75 becuase I'm new to biking and didn't want to break the bank and then not ever use it. But I love the bike I ride it nearly every day in less then a month I've put 500 miles on it and just this past Saturday took it for a nice 70 mile ride it's been great for me so far and when I upgrade I'll be buying another Felt.

I would use this one instead: http://www.feltracing.com. Not trying to step on your toes ChiliDog just trying to help.

msparks- It seems like for what you want, a F65 will do the trick. It is actually what I am saving up for now, unless I find a better deal on a used bike.
