Introductions - What's happenin'?

Hey folks. Just signed up tonight and am digging the forum. Alot of good talk here. Just thought I'd say hi and such. My name is Pieter and i live in So. Wisconsin. I am in college full-time and work full-time and ride full-time and just about everything else...full-time. I currently ride a Motobecane Fantom Elite DS. I purchased the frame from BikeIsland.com and built it up with a full 2007 XTR group a RockShox Reba Team fork, and Avid Juicy 203mm disc brakes. I also just sold my Trek TTT discovery frame :( on ebay and am looking into purchasing a new TT frame. I still have all of my 2006 DA components and FSA K-Force crankset. I am going to ask some Q's about a couple of framesets but figure I'd put that thread where it belongs. Thanks for the forum and once again, Hey.

You've got a nice stable Pieter! What kind of TT frame are you looking for? What did you not like about the Trek? Oh and welcome to the forums!! :)

I was not able to get a comfortable fit with the Trek frame. The frame integrated airfoil was just to high. I had the seatpost butted right up againstit and I still could have come down a couple centimeters. I thought a large would be fine since I am 6'2" but I was mistaken. Other than that the frame was dynamite. I am not sure of what frame I would like to get next. I have an Author, (Czech Republic), road frame laying around so I think I will put the components on it for now till I decide. I don't want to spend another 2-3k on a frame and not be happy with it. I seriously mourned the passing of my Trek frame as I carefully and lovingly packed it up to be sent to its new owner. I know, I need to consult a therapist regarding my obsession with bicycles. Right now I am looking at the ElementSix TT frame but I cannot find enough information on the company to justify spending the cash right away. I do believe the frame has several brands though. It is identical to the Planet-X TT frame. I think I will get some feedback from the forum members and see what others are building/riding. Thanks again for the welcome. See ya around.

Brad is right--both about the obsession, and the picture posting :D . I think most of us who enjoy saying hello in the Introductions forum have WAY more than just one or two bikes...

At least I'm not alone on this one!:D I will be sure to post some pics of my other two wheelers. I am currently waiting for my DA 7800 STI shifters to come in, (I sold them when I put the Tri cockpit on my Trek, STUPID!!!). As soon as I get them I will post a pic of the Author build. I bought a Deda Alnera integrated drop set-up but it has a 42cm c-c measurement. I think it is too narrow but I don't want to get rid of it because it is SWEET! I have a 19in. shoulder measurement so I think I will be ok. If anybody has any suggestions I would welcome them. I will probably post this in an appropriate place however. I will forward the contact info. for a good therapist soon.:D :D
