Well just trying to get back into bikeing and I figured to use my first real bike. So when it came time to get new parts I relized I have no idea what I have. Any help would be great. It might not be anything special and I am fine with that, I just want too get it road worthy again and want to know if I should get fancy parts or not. I got it in chrome with no badging or anything on the frame except number F9308210. I also have some pictures at this site if it will help. Thanks in advance.

If you are looking into biking again I would get a new bike. The next question your gonna ask then is what kind of bike, just search the forums as its everywhere.

True, but lewethetiger is trying to identify a bike special to him. So, wtp, beerman, new_dharma--anyone recognize it?

judging by the logo on the stem, it looks like a diamondback of some description.

It's either a Dyno or GT. Not sure which model though.
It may help you to put your bars a little back or align them with the forks for manuals and bunnyhops, at least i think so...

I couldn't even ride bars that far forward haha!
I'd fall if i had bars that far forward.

OMFG. that is not my bike. Havent you heard anything about that jawner? SOOOO NASTY. Its like a 4lb frame with the most ridiculous parts on it ever. Not to mention it just plain looks gross. Aside from that, I thought the frames looked similar.
PS if you want to see my bike, goto the bike post thread. dewd.

Thanks for the input. The bike is special to me and I didn't know if I should dump more money into it to make it better or I should make it good enough. But I don't know what parts to put on it to make it look original. Like I said in the original post there was no stamps anywhere to properly identify it. I also heard from a couple other people it is just a generic frame. Thanks for the help.

If it is a vfr shouldn't have some kind of stamping? Or is it possible they goofed?

I have a VFR sitting in my garage. I used to race it, and I heard the old GT front hubs are pretty good. That was until I got my new GT.

The old GT hubs were made by Ringle if I recall correctly, very smooth hubs.

Ya, DK Macho's can be ridden hard for maybe, 4 days.
Maybe your Joytechs are better then the ones I've seen.

Do you know approximately what year it is?
