Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - Central California needs it's own Regional Forum

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have heard the Clovis/Fresno are referred to as the armpit of California and as such I'm pretty sure neither Northern nor Southern California wants us. :(

Any chance we can can get a forum for the Central California region? I'm sure that considering we're a good three hour (auto) ride from either Los Angeles or San Francisco that we're sufficiently distant and also, we're home to two of the largest cities in California. Fresno and Bakersfield are both part of our agriculture-rich San Joaquin Valley (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Joaquin_Valley). Considering the isolation of this valley from Nor Cal and So Cal, it just seems to make sense.

Okay...that was my best lobbying...any one else in the BF community think that Central California needs it's own region? :)

SoCal is very welcoming. Come join us. Alternatively, NorCal is pretty quiet and won't overrun your Central Cal threads. In fact, if you Central Cal people become active enough, you could overrun the NorCal subforum.

Please don't take my request as any kind of a slight toward NorCal or SoCal. It just seems like a logical geographical separation to me and that was the only reason for my post. Honestly, I haven't spent any time in the regional forums as of yet because the Commuter forum has my complete attention, but based on the lack of attention this thread has received, I'll have to assume that it's not really a concern for the community. Oh well...if it ain't broke, don't fix it. :)
