My work schedule is two 12 hour days 7am to 7pm, two 12 hour nights 7pm to 7am and 4 days off. Tonight is my first night shift and rode in to work despite the high winds. Bought a rain coat tonight after getting to work in case it rains. I'm allowed to sleep at night here, but thats not guaranteed being a paramedic. Hopefully we won't be too busy and I'll get enough sleep to make the ride home in the morning tolerable. I guess this week will determine which days I do this. If it'll be my days only, all 4, or both days and first night. Some input on the situation is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I am currently working two or three late shifts a week (riding home at 10 or 11pm). While my job can be physical at times, I still find that the ride home energizes me. I mean that both physically and mentally.

Im on the night shift now ,its 0130 in the morning (Sat) & I rode to work at mid night amongst the usal Fri, night boy racers & I had oranges or some other fruit thrown @ me by some ones mothers little darlings  but being drunk their aim was crap but I was impressed with the range:mad: I also find ,like Garlic even when I've had a busy night with lot of repairs & probs. that the ride home is a wind down experiance or if some ones pissed me off during the shift ive mellowed out by the time I get home ;) When tired I usauly say im going to do a short ride home but 9 times out of 10, I end up doing my 50k route home as I start to feel good after a K or two:)
