I'll be racing around Georgetown lake tomorrow morning. The entire backside of the lake is dirt road.

It snowed 10 inches there last night.

Would it be bad form to enter a road race with a mountain bike?

Cypress

You're gonna ride in snowy weather in shorts, arm warmers, and ski goggles?

Awesome. We're gonna need pics.

The correct pronounciation is 'Drat'.

Make a note of it.

I may be no expert but:

If you can get over it mentally before the race, you have beaten half the field.

The Cypress beats half the field merely by waking up in the morning. In a twisted way, that race sounds like fun.

Sucks to hear that Cypress. I was planning on hitting up the Butte RR on a roadtrip down on my way to the Wenatchee Omnium, sadly the relative who I was going to stay with got transfered to Spokane spur of the moment so no trips for me :(. Best of luck at the race and here's hoping for a killer report.

You can thank W.C. Fields for that particular epithet.

The butte race turned into the one tomorrow. I'm not sure why they aren't doing the C. Divide race.

If they still held the race after 10in of snowfall, I'd be amazed.

If it goes on, good luck dude. Make some road widows.

Ride a mountain bike with slicks and put your drop bars on so you can get aero. The parka might hinder the aero though.

Looks like they are shortening the course. Dunno the specifics yet though.
