It's the beginning of May ... what's with this rain crap! Should be out riding with sleeveless (or at least no arm warmers), and no leg warmers, but it was overcast, and actually sprinkled on me last night. They said it is a fast moving storm, figuring I should be able to ride in to work this morning ... but what do I see??? Wet roads ... true, it's not heavy rain, but still slick roads. Alas, I drove in ... doh!

Seems pretty typical for this time of year. Will be cleared out and nice for the weekend.

Relaaax, tomorrow & Sunday are supposed to be really nice.

Wouldn't it be great if it rained only, say, Tues & Weds every week?

I know we need the rain but damn, I need my rides too. It should be clear tomorrow for my Tour de Pain through San Francisco.

Yea, I know ... just wanted to vent. I just hate having to pile on excessive mileage only on the weekend, without any sustained mileage during the rest of the week.

You could always ride a bike with fenders :)

Meet Pokey, my rainy weather/touring bike. Here he's ready to depart on a tour of the Puget Sound. Yep, it was raining. :p

Yeah it was raining pretty good in spots today, so I took the train.

Made it home last night without getting more than a little sprinkle on me though.

Last year we got a freak storm on the day of the strawberry fields forever ride the last weekend in may. Hopefully this year it'll be clear on the 20th..

Anybody else doing this ride, by th' way? My brother is coming up from SLO with a friend, we're going to do the 100K route. Great organization, great terrain, GREAT food.

I rode in to work about 7:30 this morning...just a slight sprinkle. Just rode over to the LBS to get a cable replaced and no rain, just lots of clouds...but COLD!

Well at least the weather has cleared up. Light riding on Saturday, then it's Grizzly Peak on Sunday. Can't wait ... is it quitting time yet?

Great. I'll be the one houghing and puffing ... I'll be the one sounding like I'm hyperventilating. It should be a great day for the GPC ... can't wait for the food too!

I sure will. It's not the wind I'm worried about, but the hills.

BTW, it's funny how every time we try to spell your name, the y key breaks, Trac ... :D

It's the pollen that was bothering me on Saturday.

It's the wind that has me off the bike and "crosstraining' (in the gym, on the elliptical, dagnabbit). Yesterday & today it's 20 mph sustained with gusts to 30 mph. Grrrrr!
