Ginny-

Stay tuned- the requested tandem love story will be forthcoming. I'm going to enlist Terri's aid in setting it down to make sure that I get the details right, and to get that important female viewpoint.

:)

How will your and Terri's version compare to the one that Heidi P. loves to tell?

So, who's this love story about, Ginny, Terri or both? Is this really a tandem story or do we need to think more along the lines of a triplet situation?

That will be revealed in good time!

Not sure, but I'd love to be a fly on the wall when Heidi tells her version- she's a real hoot.

Ginny - my input.

Lisa & I met in the spring of 1999 each while riding our single bikes on a road north of Boulder. We were both training for Ride The Rockies. We started riding together on occasion and began "dating" (wink-wink) on New Year's Eve 1999. In the summer of 2000, we rented a tandem from Tandem Cycle Works in Denver, flew to Calgary and rode the Icefield Parkway from Banff to Jasper. That fall, we bought a tandem and began riding regularly.

In the spring of 2005, we got ready for a ride on a Saturday morning. She wanted to do something flat & I advocated to climb Flagstaff Mountain. Flagstaff is a short, steep climb just west of Boulder. Lisa protested, but I convinced her to indulge me. We got to the picnic area on top of Fagstaff and sat down on a bench overlooking a range of snow-capped peaks. I got down on one knee, pulled a ring out of my jersey pocket and asked her to marry me. We got married on Kauai in October of 2005.

How's that?
