After several months of lurking, I finally broke down and registered (mostly due to my first true road rage incident). I actually got my first non-department store bike* back in September, and have been using it to commute to work ever since, except for a few months when it got very cold and I found myself without the appropriate clothing. I'll be mostly hanging around the commuter's and mechanic's area trying to absorb all the wisdom I can. Be forewarned though, I like to ask lots of questions!

*even though it's decent quality bike (Fuji Crosstown 2.0), I'm somewhat skeptical because I got it for free from a bike shop owner who owed my father a favor, and this guy has a bad rep for being a real cheapass.
