Sorry about asking a strange question, but its been bugging me and now my inquisitiveness has gotten the better of me.

Why are some usernames displayed in red and some in black?

What is the red star which is displayed near some usernames?

names in red = user is online (browsing the site as of now)
names in black = user is offline (not browsing the site as of now)
names with a star beside them are donating members
