Hi, first post here. I am trying to get the crank arm off of the chainwheel side. I have removed the plastic cover and the nut. How do I get the crank off? Is it attached to the sprocket? It seems really tight on the square post.
Thanks for any advice/help

You need a tool for the job. About $10. Called a crank puller and it can't be done without it. See also www.parktool.com for more info.
Thank you, that is what I need. I will go to a bike store tomorrow and see if they have one, otherwise I will order one online.
