General Cycling Discussion - Tour de France

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I am looking for information or a travel agency that conducts a tour that follows the 2002 Tour de france. We do not wish to ride our bikes. We want to follow the tour for 10-14 days next year as spectators. Any info that helps us or points us in the right direction would be great. We live in the U.S. (midwest). Would love to hear from anyone who has been there and done this before.
Thank you.

Stumbled across these in my mailbox this morning. I know nothing about these outfits or their schedule in relation to Le Tour. Hope you have a great trip.

Baron,
Can you get Cycle Sport and Velo News magazines in your area? Both have ads for something like you describe. They may do both cycling and non-cycling. There was a program on OLN a couple of months ago about a company that leads cycling tours where you ride part of the route then wait at the finish line to see the finish of each days stage.

Raymond
