Im thinking about doing the 100 mile ride as well. Depends on how I feel at the end of the week, just recovering from a nasty cold.

Not sure on the time. Will probably be there around 7-7:15 to pick up packet and roll out the gate by 7:45 to 8.

I will also be doing the 100 mile ride. I would like to start fairly early. As close to 7 as possible.

Riding from Salem. Maybe I'll see you guys along the way. It costs too much in gas to ride from portland. :)

I hear ya. I wanted to do the 110 until I realized it started in Corvallis.

Well the people I was going to ride this with cancelled on me. Anyone want to meet up at the start?

The start is at a different school this year. We could be out front 7:15ish. The weather isn't looking good so I am not sure what I will be wearing. I will swing by the school and see if there is a more specific spot that would work better. Anyone else want to join us?

Sounds good. I will need to pick up my packet in the morning but it looks like according to there site that i can't do it till 7. So I will be as quick as I can. Have you done this ride before? What is the elevation like?

There is a flag pole out in front of the school so we could meet there. This will be my third year. First one with rain  but in may turn out fine. It is generally pretty flat. There are some rolling hills and one that seems larger at about mile 85. It ends up with more elevation gain than it seems. It has been a nice ride that I look forward to each year.

Another wonderful RTB! The weather held up just long enough to make it enjoyable (even with the unrelenting headwind) - I did the 98.9 from Beaverton, and the modified route was very nice with just enough hills to make it worthwhile. Latched on to several trains along the way, and even pulled my share into Amity.

Anyone else eat too much on RTB? I had lunch twice, cleaned up the cookie tray at the Nestucca stop, and every meatball I could find at dinner, LoL!

That final little hill after the last stop seems smaller every year - I remember walking up that slope my first RTB.

2thGrinder thanks for pulling me to the finish and making it a fun ride. I ended with 101.5 once I got back to the car. Jakey nice to see you crushing souls again.
My first RTB was a fun experience (except for the headwind) and very well supported.

It was a good ride. No rain as forcast but a little too much wind. It was more rolling hills that I remembered with about 4600 ft of elevation. Sorry bertt for the "it's mostly flat". we finished with a 16.5 average. All in all it was a good day and nice to catch up with jakey.

Sorry bertt for the "it's mostly flat".

It wasn't the hills that bothered me . It was the head wind that wore me out.

It gets kind of crazy to be going downhill and drafting just to maintain speed.
