Peak event for the spring season complete early in May with 3 more races to follow the rest of the month.

The long race report is on my blog, with powerfile attached: http://www.cycleiwakuni.com/blog/

The short info, from my power file clif notes:
Power-Tap

Let the winning break go in front of me consciously, (@ around 110 km in) figuring it was someone else's turn to cover the gap. No one did. I should have gone with them and taken the free ride from the 2 teammates of another team. 2 of the 5 that went away got dropped from that group, one of which got dropped by our chasing group. No telling if my fate would have been the same. I was pretty spent by that point. The others in my group gave up the chase about 30 minutes later and it was entirely too windy for me to chase solo.

Team-mate and I 1-2'd our group of 5 to place me 4th and him 7th. Two of the 5 were already spent, and gave up w/out a fight. The other one (young kid) sprinted through me in the "neutral zone" in the grass to cross the electronic markers first and take 4th from me - but the difference between 4th and 5th was meaningless to contest.

Good job.

However, "Club Athlete" has to be the worst name ever. ;)

Fantastic. Seems like a great day. Too bad about the high schooler, but no harm done.

Yah. I don't particularly dig the purple in the jerseys either, but the kit is awesomely comfortable. (@$170 you would think so, right?)
