Road Cycling - My new bike has arrived!!!

My Supergo Bianchi arrived yesterday afternoon!!

I am READY to hit the road again!!!

Brand new 2002 55cm Bianchi Vigorelli
Steel frame, CF fork, Shimano Ultegra triple 9-sp, Mavic Cosmos.

Sorry Bianchi, but the "Celeste" tires are history as soon as my Michelin Pro-Race black and yellows arrive.

A quick spin around the block, she is fasst and agile! I will DEFINITELY need to upgrade the motor, to keep up!

I borrowed a recently posted photo from 2k2s4 to show her off, as I dont own a digital camera yet, Here she is...

I agree on the celeste tires.
Surprized it came with those, my wife's yellow Bianchi
had yellow/black Vittorias.

Italian steel ....... sweeeeeet!

Whats the difference between Ital steel and other?

I've got a great motor for that sweet bike. Send the bike to me and I will attach the motor for awhile and let you know how it works.

This diff, between Italian Steel and others is the stickers they put on...

That's why the first thing I did was peel off the made in Taiwan sticker.

(I'm not concerned about that, the bike is the same whether it was made there or in the "Reparto Corse" factory in Italia. The "made in Taiwan" label just makes the bike affordable to an average schmo like me.)

Isn't this bike made from Reynolds steel, 631? Isn't this made in England?

Why's the RD equipped with a long cage? :confused:

I dunno if that Italian bike will work right with your Japanese Shimano parts... the two will be in constant conflict... I think you will have to go campy, and send me your Ultegra gruppo :-)

He's got a triple on the front, if I understand the question properly.

My Bianchi also came with the Vittorias.

That's a rather presumptious statement to be making about Italian-Japanese compatibility?!?! I think ChipRGW should send you his entire bike to prove to you that what you said is not true! :D Or better yet, send me the bike along with a Campy Record group so I can make an unbiased third-party independent analysis using purely scientific princples of course. ;)

She is sweet, smooth and fasssst!!!
I've been off-bike since 4/26. I DID borrow a "hybrid" for a couple rides.
This bike is very, very nice.
