Yup! Got my 230 lb butt out there and did it. Breathless Agony, organized ride with 12,000ft of climbing and 114 miles. There are 4 passes and the clock stops at 74 miles when the climbing is done. Ride time was 7:29 minutes to the top. Not sure of the official time as they haven't been posted yet.
I feel like such a wimp though! I know most of the clydes around here say the 39 is too small a gear cause they have big strong legs. I did this ride with a 39/25 double crank set up. What a WUSS!:D
Me at mile 74 when the 12,000 ft climb is complete at Onyx Summit. Here the clock stops, then the 40 mile downhill return with no stoplights.
I still had the energy to lift my arm! Then got up the next morning and did a 42 mile flat ride. Amazing what a difference a recovery ride makes. Pic compliments of fellow SoCal forum member GrumpyPig:D
