Hello, I'm very new to the mntb world and I'm choosing my first bike, after a good week of searching it is down now to two bikes

Gary Fisher Marlin - 439.99
or
Jamis Durango Sport sx - 449.99

I made a comparison sheet between the two bikes and I was wondering if you guys could look at the specs of these bikes and tell me which would be the better buy, I'm very picky down to the last detail because this is my first bike and although in the bikeing world 500 isn't a whole heck of a lot, it is certainly alot of money to me. I'm going to test ride both soon because I know that will play a big part in it as well. Thanks alot for all of your time. HAVE A GOOD DAY, KEEP ON TRUKIN, THANKS IN ADVANCE

From what I see with the comparison sheet, I would go with the Gary Fisher. The few parts that are different seem to be a little bit better and it's even 10 bucks cheaper. I also like the look of the Gary Fisher better. But like everyone always says, you have to base a lot of it on feel. If they are that close in comparison, take the one that rides better and appeals to you the most. Good luck!!!

Your personal fit and comfort is more important than any other specific factor.
