The rear tire is showing a lot of wear. The front isn't. The rear has also flatted several times. I've got a metric century in 2 weeks and an MS150 fist weekend in June. I was looking at the Touring tires at the Bikenasbar site. Specifically: the Kenda Cross Plus Street Tire.

Anyone have experience with this tire, or any other reccomendations?

Thanks
Joe

I just got a pair of Hutchinson Acrobat tires (26x1.35) ($40 CAD/ tire) that I am happy with so far. They are good for off road and road......almost a semi-slick road tire. Supposedly has punture resistance but I can't say otherwise. It seems like a good tire if you are mixing gravel and pavement. They also offer a 1.95 version of this tire that is very similar to the Conti Travel Contact tire. I have used this as well and like the Hutchinson tire better.

Previous to that, I used a pair of Pasela Tourguards which are great for a tight budget and gave me 4000 km or mostly touring and only two flats. However, there aren't much left on these tires. From what other people have mentioned, Specialized Armadillo might be a good way to go as well. It is hit and miss for people and you will hear negative and positive comments from almost every tire depending on their luck with flats on tour.

Thanks Hutchinson is one brand that was reccomended to me. My size would be 700mm by something like 30 to 35. The bike came with 32mm tires.
