OK, so, i'm looking ahead into a summer project. I want to find myself a decent but more importantly affordable frame/fork. I've been looking into the 300-400 dollar range (and everything possibly cheaper than that)
Basically, i've found:

Pake - 250ish
soma - i forget, like 400-500
IRO - 300-400something
euroasia - around 500

basically, does anyone have any affordable sugestions?

also, you could just discuss stock frames in general

uh oh.... add fuji track and rebrands, surly steamroller, khs flite 100 and rebrands, etc. also in that range. Get ready for people telling you there is already a thread about this. I'll head them off:

it'd be cool if someone volunteered to compile the information in that thread and condensed it into two categorical threads--complete bikes, and frames--and both threads were locked.

Spicer cycles has some decent frames for not too much. I got a frame/fork that they messed up the paint on for 200. Pretty nice frame, I think it's the same thing as a khs filte100. I'd still be riding it if it weren't for that ford taurus wrecking it.

Don't get the Pake. IRO makes a quality frame (biased?), but the Bare Knuckle (Euroasia) is definitely sweet.

yeah, i know i shouldn't get the pake but ****, my budget is literally going to be somewhere not much higher than 300 so its hard

the velo shop just got a bunch of bareknuckles in. for some odd reason the new ones have brake braze-ons. anyways, they are ****ing great but also 500 + dollars so i doubt i can go for that.

does euro-asia make a cheaper frame? i thought i heard word of that.

There's Cayne Uno frame/fork sets all over eBay for roughly $180 shipped.

I like the fork, and I don't mind the sloping top tube. Plenty of people do not like either, tho- all a matter of taste.

Too pricy. The close-out Spicer frames (KHS Flite 100) aren't too bad. It's what Nolan has.
