I did it. I finally did it. It is a route I will be doing once a week as time allows. HIlls hills and more hills. Ok well actually Mt Peter Tuxedo Mountain and Mt. Peter a seccond time. Not to mention about 20 miles of rolling greuling hills in between! 2 and a half hours and my poor legs were jello for the rest of the day! It was Fantastic! Wild Turkeys, Tractor Trailers, Getting buzzed by cars and screaming down the mountains at close to 50mph. It was bloody fantastic! Can't wait till next Monday. Any one want to join me?

Check it out at www.routeslip.com (http://www.routeslip.com) Look for Warwick, NY click on Mountain Time. Enjoy!

yes I did. From Warwick over both mountains. I've only ever seen three other cyclists on Tuxedo Mountain. and two were on it on Saturday.

you're a devil,a demon,I was raised up there 'tillI moved to NC some months ago.Folkes may not feel that acomplishment,Ido,that is one bad-ass series of hills.Out west they have bigger mountains, too bad those folkes in Colorado and such may not believe what exists in the Ramapos,Rockland,Orange Counties and the Harriman State Park System.Only those who've been there actually DO. It's not common knowledge but it's true, not to mention the crazy twists those roads take and the many blind turns, good job!

Not too shabby - quite a bit of climbing for 30 miles. The main difference between out in CA/CO, is that climbing like that can be fairly normal in many areas in the mountains. However, that much climbing around here means that there are going to be some STEEP grades involved, with more extended climbs than what is the "norm"

I'd go with you if I were closer.

actualy its 40 miles. for some reason it isn't calculating it correctly. but still close to 3500 feet of climbing in 40 miles isn't bad. I'm using the route to train for a ride in Colrado in July. If only I had more than one day off from work!
