Hello,

I posted this in the road biking forum, too. I am competing in a sprint triathlon next week and I'm wondering what tires to put on. These are what I have:

Vittoria Pro-Team 700 x 20

Nashbar Prima 2 Plus Road 700 x 25

Inertia 700 x 23 ("maximum puncture shield")-these are slightly used.

Suggestions? The race will be on the streets of a suburb in Cairo, Egypt. I want to go fast but my main concern is avoiding a flat.

Thanks!

Mike

I've never seen any data on the three. Your best bet for going faster would be latex inner tubes. I'd probably go with the Vittorias.

unless you are tiny, i would stay away from the 20mm tires.

The Vittorias are great race tires but I had a lot of flats on them when I used them. No idea what the streets of Cairo are like but I think the Inertias might be your best choice.
