Foo - I'm going to kill my brother. A Rant.

My parents are taking a vacation right now, so its up to my bro and me to take care of the dogs. My bro goes to college 30 miles from home, and I'm over 100miles away so he's been doing most of the work.

At 7am, he calls me up and tells me that he wound up breaking one of the Dog's legs when putting him outside into his pen. He then says that he's got something due for class at 5PM that he hasn't started yet (and undoubtably he's had the whole semester to do it :rolleyes: ), and so he can't stick around to take care of said broken legged dog. So I get to drive 2 hours one way, on 4 hours of sleep to take care of his screw up so he doesn't fail his class. I had already made plans with a riding buddy today, who was going to drive 70 miles to come do a century around here with me. Guess not.

Remind me to kill my brother. :crash:

I dunno. He wanted to just leave it there by itself until I got up there so he could go and do his project, and I told him that he had to wait there with the puppy for me. Apparantly right now its calm and okay, but when it gets up to walk it starts whimpering and can't put weight on its one leg.

He should have taken care of the dog. Reminds me of when the police hit me on my bike, then didn't bother calling an ambulance and just left me at home alone. And when I sleepwalked out of my bunkbed and broke my arm, and my dad just said to go back to bed and wait until the morning. wankhogs.

From the sounds of it, this is his way. He didn't deliberately do it, his lack of foresight and bad choice of priorities made the situation. But you should still cock punch him, if for nothing else than leaving a dog with a broken leg. Some assignment worth that much?

The puppy has 3 bones broken in its paw. Its splinted, and the vet says it should heal without complications. Poor little guy isn't even allowed to hang out with the other dogs, we've got to keep him caged for the next few weeks :(

My bro was bringing the puppy to the outside pen, and I suppose dropped it from about shin height to the ground. Somehow the 6'' drop was enough to break the pup's paw :(

Let me get this straight. He injures the dog. He is right there. You are 100 miles away, about 2 hours. The dog has to wait 2 extra hours for treatment because he wants you to take the dog to the vet.
