So I walk down into my kitchen to get something to eat, and I look up at my fridge. I then stop, double take and realize its the acceptance letter into the national honors society!!!!!!!!

Even though everything else is sucking right now, this rules! I was worried about making it in, but thats changed!

I thought you were going to be a pro hockey player, and invite us to all the matches!

Bummer. Just means you're smart and accomplished.

I was going to be accepted into the Vocational Honor Socioty. I told them that I'm smart, but so are a bunch of other people that don't learn the same way that the classes are taught, so I think the organization was founded on praising the lucky. I about told them to **** off. When my brother was offered to be inducted into the regular NHS, he told them about the same thing.

The only benefit I got out of being in NHS was that it allowed me to skip finals my Senior year.

Cool! Congrats! I was a hopeless underachiever in high school, and was a bit jealous of those guys with the tassels at graduation :D

I was president of NHS at my high school. It was a real honor and I tried to do a good job. Apparently, of the 26 people that got in, very few showed up for volunteer activities that we all were suppose to do. Just enjoy the ceremony and have fun.

So...your refridgerator was actually the acceptance letter to the NHS?

That's weird.

/not a member of the NHS.

The key of getting in is to have your parents volunteer, either financially or with their time to help the PTSA. My mom is a housewife so she does these things to keep busy. It pays off though.
