Wait a minute.. You're from BC?
Whereabouts?
..and were you trying to sell the flame chopper on Craigslist a while ago?

If so, come out to the MC3 chopper ride tomorrow night.

Yeah, no crap... I love my alt-bikes, but I guess I am a "farie" in his book, heck almost every alt-biker that I know owns a road bike of some sort as well as a fixie. Anyway, it's the interweb and everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

than the Cervelo I tested" and see what happens :roflmao:

It's a shame that you lump all roadies into one category. There are many of us that just love bikes and riding. I would not be looking in this forum if alt bikes did not interest me. You are doing yourself a disservice by trying to judge a book by it's cover or in this case...a rider by his bike.

Sledbikes problem is that he IS what he hates. He is a bike snob that looks down on anyone who does not like or appreciate the same things that he does.

It's pretty clear that the lines here fall between those with chops and those without. One side is putting up attitude and pictures of bikes they built, and the other side is just putting up attitude.

Call me blind but I only see the attitude coming from one side. I am a roadie, mountain biker and a BMX'er from time to time. I am also 42 years old. I come to the ALT forum because I appreciate the handiwork. When I see someone say "I hate roadies" or some other group just because of the bike that they ride........well I call that a attitude with no basis. Now I am not saying that there are not roadies with a bad attitude...or a fixie rider with a bad attitude, sure there is. All I am saying is not to judge a whole group by the actions of a few. Take the population of the world as a whole and there will be a certain percentage of aszholes....No matter what there mode of transportation is.

Its pretty clear what you are going to get when you click on any of the forums.
They are labled very concisely.
Im not understanding why this forum is getting clicked on by certain people.
People who build and ride chopps in a world dominated by angry, uptite
Napolean Dynamite safety dweebs and Carbon Lycra PowerRanger
wannabes are most likely gonna have a different attitude. So What ?
Please dont let this digress into Roadie or A&S level.

Quick question about that, sled:

Do 110v wire welders work provide welds strong enough for use, or is a 220v stick weld preferable?

OK, so maybe not 45 out of 50 and *******s is a bit strong but a lot of the roadies I come across have a bit of an attitude. Some of them have turned out to be pretty cool but they often come across as really smug. Stereotypes suck, but there is some truth to most of them. Again, even though I may have a certain perception of a group of individuals I don't judge one person based on that stereotype.

I was commenting on the tone, not the message. While "if you ride fixie or are a roadie then I don't like you" is certainly tuff guy material, calling the guy a ******bag is hardly constructive criticism.
