REI gore tex works well, and if you are a member they have plenty of sales from time to time
I have a lot of so-called breathable waterproof stuff, most is way too hot. I use mine for skiing but the concept is not too different. the only major issue is whetehr the tail of the jacket covers you.

Don't know if they are still available, but i got a xxl rain jacket from Performance on a closeout deal. Works pretty good for me.
