Hello All

Saw a 1985 Cinelli Curturion on Craigslist.
Went to see it, in good shape, no dings or
scarps. They want 250.00 for it. It's 19
years old,and has orignal compts. Does it sound
like a good deal. Owner seemed , not to want to
come down on price.
There's also a Paramount Series 3 on Craigslist
1991, the owner,said the bike shop owner
told him it only had 10 miles on it, when the owner traded it in.
And had been at the bike shop. The new owner
bought it to ride in Calvins 12 hour ride last
week end here in Ohio. He flying back home, and don't
want to, pay to have it shipped. He bought it for 350
is asking 250.00 now. Thought maybe I'd wait till
end of week, and see if he lowers the price, he flying out
on Saturday. Of the two bikes, which one sounds better

I'd buy 'em both. Probably the Paramount, but the few Cinelli/Centurions I've seen sell usually go (in good shape) for 2 times that and up. I'm not as familiar with sales of the Paramount.

I agree, buy them both. They both sound like good deals and good deals usually go quick.

Buy both put the one you like least on ebay, get $500 (or so) for it and you have a free bike!

It's my creed - use bikes as leverage to to buy the bike I want, and always keep an eye out to trade up. Look at it like playing Monopoly...... :D

Seriously - All things being equal (the bikes fit and are in nice shape), buy them both and alternate riding them for a while to see which one you like best. Sell one to pay for the one you keep. Or keep both and start a collection!! Or sell me the Cinelli for what you paid for it.......:)

Agreed. Definitely buy both. I'd be all over that Cinelli Centurion in two seconds, as long as it was in my size.

Here in SF, they would've been gone or "spoken for" 10 minutes after getting posted. Good bikes go fast - great bikes vaporize into thin air......
