Foo - College students: Do I look fat in this picture?

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- Several female students at Framingham State College are accused of stealing about one-thousand copies of the student newspaper, apparently because they thought they looked fat in a front page picture.

A school official says the women face possible disciplinary action.

The color photo in "The Gatepost" shows seven female students at a women's lacrosse game wearing tank tops and shorts with the name of a player spelled out on their bare bellies.

Soon after the paper was distributed around campus, about half its two-thousand-copy press run disappeared.

Desmond McCarthy, an English professor and the paper's faculty adviser, says he was told by other students that the women in the photo thought they looked fat.

McCarthy says editions of the newspaper have been swiped a few times in past years, but this -- in his words -- "is the most stupid reason the paper has been stolen."

I think it's hilarious that their attempt to squash the picture just caused it to have a wider distrubution :)

The one in the center might do well to lay off the Shlitz for a while, but other than that, they look fine to these middle aged eyes.

I'm in college. They look great to me. No one is devoid of fat (well, except maybe a lot of us on bikeforums;)).

As far as American college women, they are all in relatively fine shape.

Why would you go to an event like that if you didn't want to show off the goods, anyway?

I am a college student, but do not see you in the picture Bikepacker67. Which one is you and did you get a makeover?

If they were OK with being scantily clothed in public in the first place, why get bent out of shape about being seen now?

I wondered this as well. I guess some people just don't like seeing themselves in pictures. Actually, count me in that number.

Or it's post-drink remorse, as has happened in so many Girls Gone Wild scenarios.

You know, thinking about it, I wonder how many middle aged slobs were enjoying their new video and suddenly see their 18 year old daughter in a hotel room licking something off somebody.....

They don't really look fat... well, except for maybe the one in the red shorts. But the rest of them look fine.

Someone should have told her, "The camera adds 10 lbs".

Not fat, but sporting a few more pounds than they did back in high school. They are on the road to fat if they do not lay off the Bud Light, fast food diet, and/or start exercising. A few of them are a bit lerge for me (I'm built like Pantani without the ears), and a few of them, well you know.

I would eat my supper off ANY of those tummies!
