Here has been my typical schedule the last few months:
Mon - rest day off bike
Tues - hill repeats
Wed - 2 hour recovery (55% LT) spin
Thurs - intervals (2x20 at LT)
Friday - easy spin or rest
sat - 2-3 hour LSD
Sun - hard group ride with tons o' hills (5 hours)
I've been training for long hill climb rides in May/June/July (first one is next Sat - 112 miles with 6,500feet elevation).
now I've hooked up with a fast group for Tuesday and Thursday mornings - it is in range of 2-3 hours typical hammerfest with sprints, hills, and long intervals. I want to keep doing this. so how do I squeeze in the hill repeats - or do I? if so - when? Do I do a double on Tuesdays? or do it on Saturday? I've built a good base - but at 50yo the rest/easy days have helped. Thoughts?
