Who's got good tips for caring for a suede saddle?

Use a suede brush where they're worn (extra fine brass bristles). Nothing else to do with suede.

This must be "Welcome back Prodigal Son" week. :) First Luker shows back up, and now you. Glad to see you posting again.

I didn't do anything to mine and it has rubbed down dramatically. That said, it looks pretty cool all beaten up. If you're going for showroom style points though, I wouldn't recommend the hands off approach .

If a guy bought a bike and 2 to 6 months later the suede was not "polished" down and almost obliterated, we knew he was not riding enough, suede is great for show, not for go, you cannot move around on the saddle easily while there is nap, adjusting weight for terrain, decents and such is good bike handling.
I think a suede brush will wiork, but you are fighting an uphill battle, ride it more instead or chnage it out and keep it for show.
No tolerance for suede on a bike saddle.
