Has anyone else read it? AND did it make you cry too? For some reason, that article really touched me. Really makes me appreciate the life I have here at home.

EDIT: I tried to find a link to the article on the website, but couldn't find it:
Problem: A crisis worse than war. Solution: $100 bike
It is in the 06/07 issue of Bicycling Magazine.

Wait until you actually live outside the USA for a bit. Then you will really appreciate Publix.

Except for their lousy hours. Closed at 10:00? Are you kidding me???

WERD! I love Publix. The one I used to live next to in Madison closed at 11:00pm, now I'm at this one that's not nearly as good and it closes at 10pm.

I want to ride bikes in Africa.

George Jenkins started the chain in the 1930's, Winterhaven, FLA.

It's a southern thang, homie.:p

Publix is a supermarket chain out of Florida.
Kroger is another chain, I believe out of Ohio?

Kroger is the place where you return your bad lettuce on the way to Publix.

Look at all the pretty banners. Chances are the kroger borg has assimilated your town as well, but not always under the Kroger name. Out here, we got pwnt by Dillon's. It's the lameness.
