Hey folks -
A buddy and I are trying to plan a 3-4 day touring trip in MD, VA, or WV that involves some mountain biking trails and camping. We are based out of College Park, MD but will have access to a car to get anywhere within 2-3 hours.
Last year we did the C&O Canal loop from DC to WV but were looking for something with a little more action. The trail is nice but my buddy described it as a little "dull" at times and therefore we wanted to find something a little more off-road trail like. Understandably, we will be carrying our gear with us so we can't be extreme mountain biking but just something a little more involved.
The other idea is to find some excursions from the C&O Canal that we can take to get into some more mountain bike terrain...?
Anyone know any recommendations that would fit either of these?
