Classic & Vintage - Belgian Builders- Who used Italian Bottom Brackets?

Does anyone know which Belgian builders used Italian bottom bracket threading? I know Merckx did, who else?

Only one other comes to mind: 1980's Paganini (Plum Vainqeur house-brand bike, Belgium). But technically I think it was an Italian contract-built frame, possibly made by Ciocc.
The only Belgian-built frames that I can recall (like Libertas, Flandria) seem like they had French BB threads...IIRC

Thanks. I'm trying to track down the maker of a frame I have. I know the frame was made for a small shop in Belgium as a house brand, but I have no idea of the maker. The lugs have a 'D" cut into them. I posted pictures earlier, but no one had any ideas.....

If so, there might be a connection with a small Belgian brand 'Diamond' (not to be confused with the much more widespread 'Diamant') still sold in the Vanconingsloo shop. I can't find much about their older bikes, but the recent ones use Columbus frames, so some Italian imput anyways - and a possible 'D' explanation???

Yes, I am talking about the Vanco frame. Thanks for the info. Do you know the shop? I tried calling the shop, but it seems the only person there was an old lady who didn't speak English and wasn't to interested in my horrible French.....

Didn't Merckx use Italian BB shells way back in the day?

Don't know the shop and they don't seem to have a mailaddress; Diamond bicycles has one though - maybe worth a try?

Concorde did,as far as I know. It may vary.A large part of Belgium is "French".. French is the language, the culture is French as is the cuisine. The southern region I write of is called Walonia,many riders were Waloons,lots o' mountains there. The other 3/4 s of Belgium is Flemish; Flemish(Dutch-like) culture,Dutch language,no mountains.Still lots o' great racers from there too.They have the Dutch-sounding names.
Ther-in lies your answer. Not a hell of a lot of Belgian Race bikes, many Belgian cuisers from the '60s though. Most non-drop bar 3 speeds had Engish thread.......that's a start.

Thanks. For some reason the site just won't work for me. I've tried both IE and FireFox and get connection timeout errors with both of them. Maybe they've blocked incoming traffic from Latvia. Some sites do that. :mad:

I can connect with a proxy server out of Canada, but not without one. Grrrrrr.....

I wrote to Diamond Bicycles over a week ago and never got a response. I guess the next step is to find someone who speaks French or Flemmish and call the Vanconingsloo shop.
