I have a SRAM 8 speed chain (don't remember the exact model, I think it's the 68 one). I bent one of the inner links. I'd shorten the chain and use a powerlink (another one, as I already have 1 installed), but then I wouldn't be able to use the largest chainrings. Is it possible to add some links from the leftovers after I shortened it? I practiced on the leftover chain, but when I reconnect the links they are way too stiff. Should I just buy a new chain?

Use your leftovers, if the link is to stiff, try bending the chain lightly back and forth, to loosen the stiff link.
Hah, I just didn't know that I could do it with my chaintool. Now it's all good. Just gotta fix that damn chainguide. :)
