i took a fall and when i got up my stem was turned to the left. how do i adjust it so its lined up with the front tire?
Weaken the bolts securing the stem to the steerer tube, adjust it, then tighten the bolts.

will do, thanks
And make sure the stem is secured before every ride. Safety first.

Make sure you check your headset for proper tightness after straightening your stem. Only loosen the two bolts on the steerer clamp to tweak it back straight -- if you also loosen the bolt on the top of the steerer that will slacken your headset since that bolt is for adjusting the headset preload and doesn't actually hold the stem in place.

Hold on, is this a threaded or threadless headset design. Different method for lightening the stem.
