Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Is their anything wrong with the Manitou Six Sport fork on my Giant Yukon? I've heard some negative comments about Manitou. If so, what fork is "equal price" with this, and what could i substitute it for? Like a Rock Shox Judy TT?
Thanks, Matt
No the Judy TT is not a substitute. The Manitou Six Sport comes stock a little soft. You can switch to the extra firm ride kit it helps. As far as a upgrade in performance the Black series is nice and Marzocchi has some real nice stuff. Most marzocchi forks cost as much as your bike as well as some of the Maniotu's, but most fork upgrades are not a inexpensive upgrade.

Yup, I just bought my Giant today. The manitou is kinda soft, compared to the other ones i tried, like i tried the Iguana with the RS Pilot, and those are stiffy...and so as the judy TT...but ah well, this is fine, as long as it can move up and down and is not like jello, it's all good.
Thanks
